Cellulose acetate (CA) membrane discs for laboratory filtration. The membrane disc is 50 mm in diameter with a 0.45 µm pore size and is supplied in packs of 100. The CA membrane is composed of pure cellulose acetate internally supported by an inert polyester scrim to provide dimensional stability and resistance to tearing, allowing use with handling and pleating and tolerance of autoclave or steam sterilization up to 135°C (274°F). Typical uses include filtration of proteins and enzymes, sterilization of biological fluids and culture media, and cold sterilization of aqueous solutions.
