Biokar BAIRD PARKER Agar with Egg Yolk and Tellurite is a pre-poured medium in 20 plates with a diameter of 90 mm (BM01808). It is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation and enumeration of Staphylococcus aureus in food, water, and clinical samples. The medium contains specific components that inhibit the growth of Gram-negative bacteria and most Gram-positive bacteria other than staphylococci, allowing for the selective growth of Staphylococcus aureus. It also includes egg yolk, which enables the differentiation of Staphylococcus aureus from other staphylococci based on colony appearance.
